BUNGsten burner eh? I thought it was a Bunsen Burner.
Hmmm, brings up a whole lot of new applications.

Hi Bob (Drifter), I see that you're in Milwaukee - a place I've never visited (though I've been to the US several times). I've been reminded of a story from twenty years back about a guy I worked with who played rugby and went to the US on a rugby tour. This guy told me that when they were in Milwaukee, following their game they went on a tour of the local bars. Naturally some guys got drunk and later that evening one guy was walking along the street with a ladder. The cops pulled up and accused him of stealing the ladder, to which he replied that he wasn't stealing the ladder but just borrowing it to take an american flag off a nearby flagpole. This earned him a trip in the police car to the station. After a bit of a chat, realising why he was there and that he was from the UK (Wales), the drove him home and gave him a load of stuff as a souveneer. My friend said they'd had a great time on tour and everyone was really friendly and some seemed to like the occasional 'odd' cigarrette...
OK, completely off the topic, but there you go!
Paul
hahahaha
thanks for that nice story
yes, milwaukee can be nice, but like most other places, it is not always nice

Now here is something quite old. As a kid, we used to play with these. You would write something on a piece of paper in ball point pen, then sprinkle these (gold or silver) tiny flakes/specks on the ink and shake it around to be sure all the letters got some stuck to it. Then you would pour the excess back into the cute little jar. THEN take your paper over to a light bulb and hold it over the bulb and anxiously await the specks of gold or silver to melt and adhere to the ink you wrote.
Quite fascinating, actually.
If done correctly, you writing would be nicely raised - embossed.
If done incorrectly, your paper would start turning brown.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha

The skate key you lost as a child, just laying there on the sidewalk.....
-=Bob=-
Made me think of a radiator drain key. I think my skates had nuts with butterfly wings.
You know what?! You may be right!!! Maybe that IS the radiator drain key!!!!! (I forget...)

Well, THIS THING FOR SURE you lost as a kid - ye ole needle for the bicycle or basketball pump...
-=Bob=-
Bob, that key went to an old metal pair of skates like these
Ward's SpeedLine from 1950.
I lost several of those 'needle' things for inflating basketballs, footballs, etc.
