I found this free plug-in today. It has several useful features
to adjust/manipulate a bitmap. Perhaps you'll like it.

And I note the Simplifier one from the same site could be used to create digital watercolours like I posted here in the Xara Gallery. Use Simplifier followed by BeyondEdger4 (default setting of 10 works well) and you'll be on your way to creating digital watercolours.
