I have a font I wish to copy but I can't identify it 'cos it's embedded in a GIF file which I have attached.
Thanks in anticipation.

It's 18pt Arial. The 'macro' portion aligns exactly when you set the Tracking to 300. You'll have to track the 'economics' portion on a letter by letter basis.
Hi,
the font in your graphic is "Arial", weight bold, size 18pt, tracking 320/1000 ems.
Want more details? Ok: To reproduce the text completely, set a Shadow with 6pix blur, 30% transparency, colour black, x-offset 2pix, y-offset -3pix.
Forget all the above, just open the file attached :-)
bye:maak.
Dear Maak
Thank you very much for this file. You have saved me a lot of work! I use Xara as a line drawing tool and I very rarely need to create any type of visual effect. In this case I want to use the word 'macroeconomics' as a banner for a website I am creating for a course I teach. The GIF image is from the textbook I use and I thought it would tie the textbook to the website.
I notice that you recreated the blue rectangle upon which you placed the word. Could you tell me how you copied the exact blue fill off the GIF image I posted?
Thank you again for your very generous help.
George
Thank you very much, Amoore.

George,
I can't say how they did it, but one way to do it is to open Xara, split your screen with the browser screen and use your color picker in Xara to select the color you want to copy.
Hope this helps.
