    Default Backgrounds too big!

Hi everyone! First post here. Wanted to say been using Xara 3D for a while now and love it! But I do have an issue...

Is there no way to customize your window size BEFORE you export? Heres my issue...

I am using a 1024x768 picture as a background but when I export the AVI file it resizes the background and duplicates it and looks horrible.

So heres my real question..is there a way to specofy to Xara3D that you are making a 1024x768? Also, is there a way to make sure your background can be perfectly lined up to anything you are working on within that animation? Like if the animation is perfectly centered and i enter a background with text on the bottom I would want that text to be perfectly lined with the very bottom of my animation so that when I export it it looks right?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello Mike,

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you used the framesize to set your image dimensions? I'm assumeing you are using a larger display size than 1024 x 768.

    Ahhhh interesting....

But heres probably a stupid question...

is that screen size indicative of the actual output size? If so, when you resize the screen will it be perfectly centered? Thanks very much for the reply!

I'm not following your question. The frame size is the output size unless you change it by changing the frame or the output options.

The text justification is set with the toolbar icons at the top. In addition you can use the Alt key and the left mouse button to drag text to any area of the frame.

The Xara3D files cannot be imported directly into Xara Xtreme. The files you export, with the exception of .avi, screen savers and flash can be imported into Xtreme.

You can also copy and paste your Xara3D images as a png into Xara Xtreme.

You are the man arent you?

One more question. I will do my best to clarify what Im looking to do using Xara3d.

I have made a custom spinning round logo. Looks great. Is there a way to add another line of text UNDEr this logo? When I click on the text button it adds text to the logo and its not what im looking to do.

You can add another line of text by using the Enter key the same as in notepad, or any text editor. If you only want the first line of text to animate, you must select the second line and remove the animation from it after the first list is animated.

If you are using the Border option within Xara3D then your second line of text will also be inside the border.

If you can post an example of what you are working on, it would be easier to see what can or cannot be done to help.
