January went very quickly, didn't it? It's good to see some fresh (and talented) new faces here as well as all our old (and equally talented) pals. After a slow start to the year I've got some new logo commissions that I'm working on - I'll post them here as I go.

Those of you who don't know the form yet: whatever you're working on, from the roughest draft to a polished photorealistic masterpiece, we want to see it. Now. And if you don't, we won't play with you at break-time...

Copies filter. They may one day grow into something
else.

Hi everyone, I am new here, just joined, and it's not yet Febrary and there's a January 'Stop and Post' - so I don't know if to post my first post here or there - I'll probably do both.

I've just finished Uni and got my very first freeland job last week and just completed it so I thought I'd show everyone and see whatever body thinks. Go easy on my because I've not been using Xara for very long, 2 months, and this is my very very first professional job. So I'm so excited.

Those of you who know me will also know my personal views on logo design (hey, they keep me in business, you know...), and I could go on and on about Logo Kid's design. But I won't. It's cute, it's well executed, it sticks closely to the client's brief but improves on it, and for a first foray into the nasty cut-throat (OK, I exaggerate...) world of logo design, it's very impressive. Were you studying art & design, or something related?

NASTY COMMENT FROM SIMON FOLLOWS:

Is there a line-art version or a reduced-colour version? These are essential for most logo commissions.

Ken - cool looking brushes you have there.

Ron - In my case the flames are due to frequent heartburn but I was thinking of my teenage granddaughter when I drew this and the passion of youth Seems like teenagers 'fall' in love at least once a week with a different person
