Problem with vector lines

Hello,

i have a problem with making a logo 3d, i imported the jpg file to xaraxetreme, then i save it into .xax but it doesn't open in xara3d because it has no outlines.... how to solve this... don't really can sort this out....

so my question is: can you put me this file in a .xax so i can open it normally in xara3d...

Hi...

Tha't because Xtreme can't do magic! You have to create vector shapes to represent the areas of black in the jpg. One option is to use the Xtreme Bitmap Tracer tool in the Utilities menu. Or you can manually trace it in Xtreme.

If you use the trace tool you will have to experiment with the settings to get an accurate trace, and then ungroup it and remove the background rectangle. Then select all the shapes and paste into X3D.

I've attached a rough one - you'd need to spend more time in Xtreme first!

can you explain me what to do exactly...? don't really understand it, cause i'm new with those vector lines...

Then maybe you should begin by looking through the Movies - there is a Movies option on the Help menu.

Begin with the Absolute Beginners movies.

There is supposed to be a Bitmap Tracer movie but it isn't on the CD. There is info in the main Help file, and do a search in this Forum - there has been lots of discussion on the best settings.
