I have been making edge erasers. This one was seaweed. I haven't found anything I really like, but I'll keep trying. This is a grayscale stroke in front of an image, and in erase mode. The green is on a layer behind showing through. Rich

An edge eraser modified with selective feathering. Or, edge erasing of a portion of the object for a soft inner edge. Rich
