Unhappy Please Help Trying To Save As Gif And Its Not Allowing Me

I'm new to this, but I'm trying to save a logo created in Gif and it gives me the option, but when i go and look for my file it says its in xara3d format. I can't open it with my photo editor.

    Please help me,

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi CARIEEL2005,

Welcome to the forum. In the File menu, select Export and not save. Save only puts a copy of the Xara3D file on your hard drive. The Export menu lets you select gif, jpg, png, screen saver, and flash format.

Unhappy Re: Please Help Trying To Save As Gif And Its Not Allowing Me

    Hi Bill,

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm exporting as animation, and when saving, I save as GIF, but when I go browse for the file in Explorer, the file is saved in Xara3d format. What should I do?

    Thanks for your quick reply,

    Rosa

Oh, Okay. I'm more accustomed to new users that overlook the Export option. Sorry.

Check you My Documents folder and/or your My Pictures folder within the My Documents. I think that is the default locations, unless you have exported to another folder. When I use multiple folders, I sometimes forget what the current location is and have to do another export and make a point to see what folder the file will be created in. It's all part of getting older bad case of CRS in my case

    Hello,

Thank you so much for the quick reply. It seems like my computer had a virus, a trojan, and I don't know why, when I tried to export it as animation, even when saving it as Gif it appeared in my documents as xara 3d.

But the good news is today, after removing the virus, it saves it as gif.

    Thanksss a lot,

    Rosa

Sorry to hear about the virus, but very happy you were able to vanquish it and get things back to normal.

It seems that was my first but not my last question.

I'm working with Website Complete from GoDaddy, and when I import the image it does not show any animation. Do you think you could help.

    Thanks again,

    Rosa

    Rosa,

I'm not familiar with Website Complete, but do you know if it has a function to turn off animations while you continue to edit? Most web page editors have a feature like that. FrontPage doesn't show animations until you use the Preview.
