I have created a band logo in 3d. Now I am at a loss on how to import it into Xtreme and convert the file to a "true vector" file so that it can be used in Adobe. Some one else is going to place it on a website for the band.

Hello Apples,
Welcome to the forum. Why go through X3d to Xtreme, to Adobe? If the image is to be used on a website, simply export to gif, jpg, or png directly from Xara3D.

That is exactly what I intended. However, the web designer wants the logo converted to .eps. I am not familiar with different programs and what they can do. I have Xara for its ease of use. So I do not really know why he wants it converted. He was happy when I advised that Xara uses vector design. Maybe he wants to manipulate the logo - but I am unsure.
I have tried to duplicate the design in Xtreme, but I am too new at this, just having purchased both programs. (But having a great time trying )
Sounds like the web designer wants to be able to change the size of the logo before putting it on the site. EPS is usually a file sent directly to a post script enabled printer, is the designer thinking you also want letterhead, business cards, etc?
You can copy the logo from Xara3D and paste it into Xara Xtreme, but it comes over as a raster (bitmap image). You would have to redraw the image using Xtreme's tools making sure you don't use any features that are not supported by Adobe. Mostly the various fill types and transparencies that only Xara is capable of making.
You can export from Xtreme as Adobe .ai format and the web designer can import it into his program.
If you would like to send me the Xara3D file, I can see what I can do to recreate it in Xara Xtreme and send you the .xar and .ai files. Click on my username beside my avatar image and select send Soquili email.

Thank You for all of your help.
Here is the logo from 3d as a jpg - sorry it is so large
I'll work on this tonight when I get home. Boss, doesn't like me working on this type of thing when I'm on his payroll
What font did you use for the text? Knowing that will make it much easier to re-create in Xtreme.

I understand - Same here.
I used Rage Italic - They like the "F" - looks like the "F" on Fender Guitars.
I just happen to have Rage Italic.
The attached gif is the result of about 30 minutes playing around in Xtreme. The attached zip file contains the .xar, .gif, .ai, and .eps files.
I created the .eps file in Adobe Illustrator 10, but saved it as a version 7 .eps format.

Thank you so very much. I hope to one day be half as fast and talented.
Thanks again. I'll let you know how things go.
Bill,
Is there a reason you didn't use Xtreme to create the .eps file?
