Basically there is a color change and node editing is pretty much the same and if you don't like dynamic guides turned on, you can turn them off. You can do that under the View Menu.

The advantage of dynamic guides is when you have to duplicate something and you need the duplicate right where you want it, right the first time. My two favorite are dynamic guides and snap to object, when used together, work quite well to absolutely position correctly items to the page.

But I don't have them on all the time.

The most useful way of employing them for me is in doing impostitions. I usually do my design for customer approval 1-up, then double-click the rectangle tool, this gives the page an outline. Ctrl-A, Ctrl-G, Ctrl-C or -X and paste in my two up or whatever imposition. Then with these turned on, just snaps really great to the page border. I have my snap turned up to high, BTW. Then use the transform palette to duplicate with offsets I need. Ctrl-A, Ctrl-U, then I get rid of my trim lines. This way I am alway right on for cutting.

I also like to have node tracking enabled for most things, this option is not available by default, but you can drag it from the Options Menu to your tool bar. It saves time, but I turn it off when it gets to be a nuisance.

I control DRAW to my liking that way.

DRAW has a new bevel tool and it can do some cool things and it works in most cases with spot color which is a big plus.

The new changes to Trace is a big advantage to creating a more usable trace and in the correct color space from the get go.

I do like refinements to PhotoPaint.

But, DRAW can be more sluggish.

Here's a sample of what is possible.
    This is cool.

Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
