Default First XX CD Version Output

It seems that the new Plugin's are a major feature in the new Xtreme.
I'm excited to be able to stay in one program for vector & bitmap activity.

This is XX using Buzz Simplifier One & Two and then Little Ink Pot Sketcher (Nice Sketch.sms preset).

A little tweak of contrast to give it a full grayscale range. I also used XX to sepia tone another version of this image.

Lynx Lake is located in the Prescott Nat'l Forest here in Northern Arizona.

    Comments welcomed.

    Looks good Wayne!
I like playing with the Sketcher plug-in too. One thing you can try: Overlay your Lynx Lake 'sketch' directly over top of a copy of the original pic and then give the sketch 'bleach' transparency ---> it will take on the look of having been drawn with coloured pencils.

Another thing to try is overlay the original pic on top of the sketch and give it a fractal plasma transparency (both handles with lots of transparency). The resulting soft colourization reminds me of when I used to lightly airbrush some colour on hand-drawn sketches.

    Regards, Ross

    Happy Birthday, Wayne.

I like the use of the Inkpot plugin. Gives the image a nostalgic touch, mostly because I remember when a lot of people would sketch that way

Did you take the original photo? I like the composition.

Soquili - yes I took the original digital image - much more in orig image but cropped to focus on detail of boats. Ink Pot has a bunch of flexibility in setting it up. Allows much variation and experimentation. Many plugins are more cookie cutter with little originality. Buzz Simplifier - while recognizable when used can use bring an image down to it's basic shapes and colors. I also have PhotoArtMaster Gold - it get's a bad rap because it's a non-MS windows user interface. Yet it can turn out some awesome art work - if a persons willing to go thru the steep learning curve.

Hwy 101 - yes there is life after 60 and even 65...I'm working on 70 now...
Having lived in So. Cal. in the 50-60's, I travelled Highway 101 many, many times...is that what your handle is related to? Or the music group?

    Thanks for the image comments.
That was taken back in 2000 with a Kodak DC-260, Had a good lens system.
Now using a Oly C-4000. Takes a lickin' and keeps tickin'...

Yes - Commuted 101 for 2 years, Live on It! Love it (some pretty country up NorCal) - And, it reminds me of the beginnings of many things (Xara for one).

Wonderful drawing, also you mentioned the "Buzz Simplifier", I assume this is also a plugin, where is that available too, if I may ask?
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
