    Hi folks,
I'm going to be looking into getting a half (A4) page advert in a magazine published soon and I was wondering If I can use xara to create the advert and then send that to the magazine?
I'm guessing they won't support xara files so what file type should I export into and how well deos xara do this?

    Thanks'

I have used xara x1 for several 1 color ads. 4 color ads might be a bit tricky with color matching. Keep the color shading simple and export it as an .ai and there should be no problems.

    Britman,

    ranking:
    01. TIFF at 300 dpi, or
    02. *.eps (check it with GhostScript before you send it), or
    03. pdf.

If you need 4c separations convert the pics to cmyk before you import them.

CMYK TIFF because if it looks OK on the TIFF file it will look the same in the magazine (depending upon the accuracy of your monitior).

Check with the publication and ask what resolution they prefer the image.
