    Lightbulb merging project

i think it should be a good idea to merg this project with inkscape, the result would be a great illustration tool... ithought of this because i've been using inkscape and it is good but the rendering engine is not very fast, but the tool ane very nice...

    opinions??

Why? What's wrong with giving people a choce of applications? That makes far more sense to me. One of Xara's big strengths is its streamlined tool-set, I wouldn't ever want to see it become bloated with tools from somewhere else.

besides, I think it's very unlikely, it would probably be easier to write a new program using a few libs from these two than to merge the code.

I am not sure merging projects could be a good idea.

However there is plenty of room for new vector drawing tools which could be created as plugins and used in several different vector based drawing programs.

A vector drawing plugins common platform could be very fancy.

On the other hand, I don't know if there is a plan in the Linux world for a SVG based clipboard. This one too could be extremely useful !!!

    kindly,
