I ordered the Personal Learning Edition on CD. Modeling is very intuitive. Positioning of objects is very easy. I was all set to order the full version, but ran into a problem. Maya doesn't like working well with my graphics card. When I tried to add materials my PC froze solid. Ctl-Alt-Del couldn't even break it free, had to power down. Be sure to check out the list of verified video cards on Alias' site before purchasing. Now I'll have to replace my graphics card before buying.
