    Unhappy Thumbnails in Windows Explorer

I've just installed CorelDraw 12 suite and would like to remove the small thumbnails that appear next to the file name in windows explorer and replace them with the coreldraw icon.
Also is there any way to change the hot keys for grouping items when left clicking, from alt shift back to ctrl alt.

You need to insert the CD12 disk and choose Modify. When you see the install options look for the Thumbnail Viewer option (buried in one of the trees) and disable it.
A Custom install would have let you choose which features to install. This saves installing things that aren't required.

Hot keys can be changed via the Options Customisation dialogue. Just click the Shortcuts tab. You can use the Search option to seek existing Shortcut keys, which can then be changed.
