    Default Greyscale to transparency

Does anyone know of a plugin that will transform a greyscale image into a graded transparency, where black remains 100% opaque, white is 0% opaque, and shades of grey become "shades" of transparency?

My son says it's "to apply an alpha channel to a bitmap that is derived from the source bitmap's luminosity".

You don't need one ... in XARA you can use a bitmap as the transparency for a shape.

Depends what the end bitmap is for on how exactly you would achieve this. Try looking in the help under transparency options.

I'm sure someone here can explain it better and in more detail!

Thanks Tone, and Bill for the link, and Xhris for the excellent tut! That's exactly what I needed.
