    Default Flash MX 2004 Brushes

    Hi,

Does anybody know if there is any way of importing specific brushes from Corel Painter IX into Flash MX 2004?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sanj

Unfortunately, AFAIK, Flash doesn't let you import brushes. However, if you're using a tablet, using pressure and tilt modes can let you do some interesting things with your brush. Still, it doesn't give yout he flexibility of the brushes from Painter or Photoshop.

That being said, you're drawing vector artwork in Flash - it wouldn't make sense to import brushes from an application that deals in raster artwork. If you really wanted to look at something similar, working in another vector program and exporting as a format that Flash can import might be a solution. The caveat, of course, being that Flash doesn't do the best job of importing or exporting to other vector file formats. Flash 8 doesn't seem to have rectified this. Bummer.

Sorry Sanj, but it looks like you're going to have to stick with the crappy brush tool as is in Flash.

    G'luck!
