Nobody told me, neither did I say that it has to be free. However, it is a major change and really would have liked to be informed "personally"... as it now can become free as in zero dinero.

Only if you have a compiler... and know how to run it. Most users do not. Most graphic designers do not even sling there own HTML much less own a complier. So the cash flow will still be there.
