    Default Rosie, a dog

This was done in an old program I have, Dabbler 2. It's a simple program, but I still like it. It has no layers, so everything is just drawn on one layer, very much like actually drawing on paper.

This was done free hand with a drawing tablet. I may continue to work on it, but this is how it looks now.

I like Xara, but it's also nice to get to some old fashioned drawing once in a while

Bob, your works look great no matter what you use. Vectors are clean and precise, but your freehand sketches have more life in them, imo.
Dabbler 2 sounds something like Artweaver. All you have is basic tools and naked skills. And it shows..

Another great drawing Bob! So much expression from so few lines, it really does make me jealous!!!!

I'm offering one right arm for your talent.

    Interested?

    thanks for those comments.

My copy of Dabbler 2 (2.0.4) is actually from 1995 by, Fractal Designs. I think it later went to MetaCreations, Dabbler 2.1, then I think, Corel. Which it could of evloved into Painter. Which is now at Painter 9.

Here is a couple of screen shots. The first showing the workspace, the second showing the tools in the drawers up top. Just basic stuff, but fun to use. Has auto save, so that's nice.

I will add that when I start Dabbler, (I'm running Windows 2000) that I always get this message. Don't know why. Maybe because of it being an older program? Anyway, it still runs fine after I click OK.

That's a cool interface you got there. Gives you the right painting mood...
Yep, layers. Sometimes I feel we're all spoiled by the invention. That and Ctrl Z...

Thats a great looking dog Bob. I like the expression you put on his face. There is something nice about using the simplest of tools. I still like using the old simple programs myself.
