PI 10 failing to start

I've just installed PI 10 onto a new computer (windows xp sp2, clean install). During PI startup, I get a windows error message stating PhotoImpact must be shut down. I've tried in safe mode, but problem is the same. Also tried reinstalling, updating with the patch, but still no good!

I can get it working on my laptop, also running XP SP2, so I don't think it's an sp2 problem.

Last thoughts are the processor - Pentium D 830. Maybe a problem there. I've requested assistance from Ulead, but so far no response....

Any ideas??

I have 8 as well as 10 and so far, I haven't had a problem. I haven't tried opening the work I have done in 10, in 8 however.
