I missed submitting something for the XaraXone Wheels show so thought I'd post a pic here. As you can tell, drawing cars is not "my thing" but I do my best The setting for this illustration is Ireland, hence the cloudy sky.

Well if doing cars is not your thing then doing excellent cartoons is....I love it . I really must give you credit for showing me how to actually add colour to my pictures. I read your tips on your website a few months ago and only then realised how to do it - thanks . I still have the print out.
Christopher.
You're more than welcome, Christopher, or should I call you Ballpoint I'm glad someone out there has read those tips. I used to do the linework in Xara and then add color in Photoshop, but I just enjoy using Xara so much that I figured out how to do it. It's lots of fun!
Ya its a great looking cartoon and car! The family really looks like they are having fun. Now Im going to have to go look at your web site too!

I don't know - looks to me as if you've captured the "essence" (unintended French pun - sorry) of the Mini pretty well. If I have one comment (and I usually do), it's that the sky doesn't really look like it's part of the picture. Perhaps some hand-drawn streaks of cloud would work better. But, hey, who am I to talk? I'd be proud of that picture.

Thanks everyone for all of your positive comments.
In response to a couple of suggestions, Ross, I didn't stuff the car because the pic was done for a specific article I was illustrating. Simon, yeah, I could have gone with a hand drawn sky, might've been better. Sometimes I have to find the balance between inserting realistic elements into a picture or just sticking within a given style. The clouds were generated in Bryce and pasted in.
