    Question Fading background

    Hello!

This is probably really easy to do but it's problem I keep coming up against and no matter how hard I look for a tutorial on it, I can't find one. I just want to know how to create an image like the one below where I can specify the colours, size and direction of the fade. I use PSP7. I want a horizontal fade like below for the colour "#005200" to white. Is there a website that can do this automatically?

    Thank you for your help.

Xara Xtreme can do it. Download the free trial and check it out.

Been awhile since I've used PSP7, have PSP9. But, you can use Layers to help your project along.

With each layer you can make the level of each more or less transparent. You also have almost every option available to you to enhance, add effects, blend, fill or whatever to each different layer.

For instance, if I wanted to make layers over a face that added clown makeup but wanted to retain the original photo I can do that just by adding additional layers. I can change the color of the eyes, hair or anything else I wish to do.
