This is by far the best I've seen of these things. I had to mess around with it in Xara X to be convinced.

Yup, that's a classic, Antony. It was one of the first things I found in this forum when I first signed in as a member .
I googled for a reference to an article I read in Discover Magazine. It is similar to the checkerboard pic, but involves a change in color.

So the yellow and blue squares pointed by the arrow are actually the same shade of gray?! I found it very amazing that they are perceived as colored, and differently colored, too...
