    Hi Juan,

I'm surprised you were able to import the .gif file at all. I tried and got an error message. The File menu import is intended for the import of vector objects such as windows meta files and with the plugin installed you can import .xar and .web files. Gifs can be used as text or background textures in Xara3D using the Texture dialog.

This probably didn't answer your question, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Soquili is correct in his explanation. You can only import windows metafiles .wmf or .emf or Xara files .xar or .web into Xara 3D. If you try to import any other file, such as a .gif it is only imported as a rectangular box equal to the dimensions of that file.
Only try to import Vector formats into Xara3D
