I have a client requesting some impressions of how a building extension will look. I am doing fine up until creating the roofs.
I have noticed some excellent property graphics
at various times but foolishly didn't save the threads. I know you guys can create such things in Xara but I am afraid I am graphically challenged.
Is there a software packge where external buildings can be easily created.
    Regards
    David Scott

This is a simple blend from dark to light, then Kloned and flipped. Then reduced in witdth and a bitmap copy made. Then filled into an object, and the fill adjusted. Sort of looks corregated. Rich

David, a few of us use Sketch up, very easy to use, slightly expensive.

    What program are you using?
Box up a roof and apply a texture map.

Attached samples are roofing materials included with Sketch up.

    http://sketch3d.com

Download the trial version, you get 8 hours of use with the program.

    Thank You

Thank you. I have downloaded the trial version of "Sketch Up" which looks superb.
I use French planning software for my kitchen business. Thirty hours of free usage is available at http://www.kitchendraw.com
The software is excellent once you get used to it and handy for all sorts of projects.
