Attached is an animated gif using a quickshape transforming from 6 to 15 points. You'll notice that the animation decelerates as it progresses. The frame gallery shows every frame set to 10cs.

    Any ideas anyone? Using 1.0c

    Joroho,

I have stared at your cool little animation for a while and I'm not sure that it is decelerating...

I think it's an optical illusion but then again my eye sight is in par with a bat's.

    Cool non the less.

If your shape changes from 6 to 7 points, then 7 to 8 and so on, the progressively narrower ratios (compare 6:7 to 14:15) are bound to produce the effect you've noticed. It's not the 10cs frames that's the problem, but the effectively smaller changes to the shape. But I like it fine the way it is!

Just looking at my own animation here from work. There is no visible deceleration with my much more powerful work PC. The problem must be with my home PC.

So you've obviously not been seeing what I thought you said you saw?

    Peter,

I think I saw what I had not been seeing that you thought I saw.

Think I'm seeing what you might have been seeing now I'm looking at it on our school network, but animated GIFs rarely seem to run smoothly here! For what it's worth, it leaps through the first few frames but then slows down to something more like 25cs steps. (Which wasn't what I was referring to in my first reply at all!)
