    Greetings,

Thought I would let you take a peek at a project that I'm working on. I am the webmaster at our local University.

I started with a bitmap image of our campus.

I completely retraced it using Xara X and then saved as .swf.

Next, I opened it in FLASH and made it interactive.

The map is still in work... I have to add some more building descriptions and the trees ( we really do have them here in Texas ).

You can see it by going to http://aboutus.mwsu.edu/maps and clicking on the icon for the "virtual tour"

Amazing. Very well done. And it is not one of these Flash productions that requires you to wait three hours for the entire production to download.

You have done a VERY, VERY good job on the map.

It does not take up a lot of room yet everything you give the viewer is readable. The aniamation is not overdone either.

    Excellent.

Love the map. The only thing I would think about is the text in the upper righ-hand corner. I would use a larger font size and different color - make it stand out a little more.

The arrows pointing out the buildings are wonderful.

I hope the students appreciate your work!

That's very impressive and very interactive. It's one of the best use of Flash that I've seen and of course the XaraX vectors assist no end.

    Hi Robert,

Your map is a delight to see as a still image and an interactive map.

    Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful detail. I love that you have the scroll up/down box AND you can mouse-over. Perspective is super.

Here's a link to a school that I live near. Strange that I found it by accident just 2 days ago when I was on the site looking for something else.

    Blessings and Peace.
