I've posted a thread on creating a brush from a brush in the XaraX forum. Unfortunately the thread is quite image intensive, so I thought I'd post this one here.
These animations are very easy and quick to make.
Just draw a simple shape, make it a brush.
Draw a simple shape with the brush, then make this brush a brush.
Draw a basic shape, give it a large line size, and then apply the brush-brush to it.
You can then do an animation by copying the frame and slightly adjusting the spacing or rotation or line width.

This is the same animation but greatly reduced in size. It's 2K in size so only has a 1 sec download even on the slowest modem

    Egg,

Your animation’s are wonderful. One of the reasons I purchased XaraX (just a few weeks now) was it’s ability to make vector drawing animation. Your worm animation in the blue sphere is amazing. The first thing I made and posted within a few hours of receiving Xara was an animation. (Rotating & Tumbling Asteroid)

Within the past few days running an animation has hung my computer. Uninstalling and reinstalling XaraX has fixed that, but every time I try to make and manipulate a brush it hangs my computer in a few minuets.

I’m running an AMD 750 with Win98 and 128 MB of RAM using a Matrox Millennium II video card with a Rainbow Runner Studio daughter card (Video Capture) with the latest drivers.

Is this one of the things the new patch will fix, is anyone else having this problem?

I don't know why you computer is hanging. My computer is a very old 166 mz with 128 mb memory, and whilst redraws on complicated brushes do take time I can't say they crash XaraX very often. What version of XaraX are you using? XaraX version 1.0c is the latest patch version I believe.
