I gotta' tell ya', I really love playing with Quickshapes. Maybe it's just the accountant mindset in me that loves the symmetrical drawings, but I find it lots of fun.

I'm considering submitting the attached as a potential logo for our church's website. Do y'all think it's too busy? Can you make out the cross in the middle? I'm open to any/all suggestions.

The cool thing about your logo is if your church doesn't like it you can sell it (or donate it) to someone else. It's so generic it can be anything or everything

Risto - I'll jump in and tell ya! Not a real tutorial by any means but perhaps enough to help you discover this technique for having fun: Go to your QuickShape tool and make a QuickStar. Now apply the rounded edge property and then dynamically (and dramatically) drag the little handles around and watch the results. That's called QuickFun!

Joroho - The kind of thing you've created can be made into a really interesting animation easily. I hope you'll try that and share the results with us.

    Regards, Ross

Risto - In this case, I started with a four-sided quickshape, i.e. a square. I then played with dragging the sides around at a point very close to one of the four nodes. I did this for about 5 minutes before ending up with this shape and I have not been able to recreate it (frustrating!). Applied a bevel and a multicolor linear fill to the bevel, and that's how I got it.

Ross - Not sure in what way(s) you think this design lends itself to animation, as I'm not a graphics artist. Found the easiest way to create an animation for it is in Xara3D4. Gave it a try and you can see it attached below. Sorry for the large file size.

I like your animation. The kind I was thinking about is as per the example attached...
