    The language depends on the purpose of your site.

    For most general purpose sites, good ole html along with a bit of dhtml and or java script will do just fine.

    Programs? Hey, hey, this one gets a bit touchy...

    Best bet is to take some time to learn html, however, that said ( basically to please the hand coding crowd ), there are several good WYSIWYG editors on the market these days.

    Namo Web Editor is probably the choice I would make, though Dream Weaver is probably the choice by most.
