dash patterns

Odd one out? Dashed strange.
Looking at the dash patterns in the line gallery I noticed that whereas most are based on simple multiples of the actual line size, the bottom right one has a fixed interval. Does this one have any specific uses? Illustration below shows lines of 1 and 4 points.
