    Am I missing a trick?

With navbars (or indeed any navigation), you want to disable the link to the current page and hint by a different style of button or text that "you are here".

This is fine until you use templates; if you put the navbar in the protected area, I can't do the "you are here" bit, if I have it editable, then I can't get the benefits of the template for it.

    What do you do?

    Thanks...

If you want to put a "breadcrumb" into a template that can be done. There's a tutorial and demo site here to download.

    http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.c...crumbtrail.cfm

    Hope that helps.
