The CorelDRAW forum is in need of one or more moderators. Would you be interested?

Being a fan of CorelDRAW is of course necessary. But more than that you'll need to hang around TalkGraphics, keep an eye on this forum etc.

Please reply if you're interested, or have any questions.

    Many thanks!
    Antony

I may be interested in being a moderator. I am a CorelDRAW power user, love Xara of course, and am checking this site throughout the day.

However, if you do need to export from CorelDraw.

Change your drawing units to pixels, then select all your vector objects and SCALE them proportionately using the corner selecting handles or the property bar until the extents of the selection matches the size of the image (in pixels) that is required for the web page.

THEN export to GIF (which is resolution independent) or PNG if you need a transparent background or to JPG. You may need to turn on or off "Apply ICC Profile" seen in the export dialog box ... experiment a bit.

At any rate, SCALE FIRST then export as this may help remove unnecessary "fuzzies" due the antialiasing routines. Also, for optimal file size I generally use an export resolution of 96dpi.

Draw12 has some presets built into it that work pretty well, but I believe what it is doing is what I have discribed above.

we shoul keep this form active -- by bringing life to it

to start : go to corel site and go to corel 12

and try there virtual tour -- it explains the new features

for me -- finally i understood what they mean by dynamic guides -- it is cool

    give it a try

What is John Clement's 'reply' doing here. I cannot find a connection to earlier posts in this forum.

I think I'm interested... eventhough I can see the post is one year old, but if you havent found anyone yet, or you need help... coming here regulary, and I suppose I can make few tutorials for CorelDraw.... I've been working ona workbook for Freehand, and making some original tutorials for CorelDraw would benefit the users, and give me a nice job portfolio, so I'm in if you want me....
