For all you folks trashing SWiSH, it does more than just create text.

    Please peruse the following example

Not by me, although it could be if I had the time...

Look, first of all, this is not a place for fighting. Last time I checked, this was a forum for Flash Developers, not Swish. So please do not clutter this forum with the "trash talk" that you are displaying.

Swish is a good time-saving tool for doing (some) difficult Flash effects, so lets leave it at that. We all know what Swish is and what it does. Lets not ruin a great forum with "trash talk".

    Thanks everyone.

Nobody talking trash, just the straight scoop.

If my buddy has a $40K car, and mine just cost $20K, and has/does just about all his car does, dont'ya think I would let him know?

Flash creation is not just limited to that Macromedia program, you know?!#

Hehehe - guyz, guyz, I don't see anything wrong with Fontman putting in his $0.02 about SWiSH. As far as I'm concerned, if it has to do with the SWF format, it belongs in here (even if it's not dealing with Macromedia). That means LiveMotion, SWiSH, Swift3D, Illustrator's Flash Writer, etc. Even as far as SVG, if anyone's interested in that.

As for the "trash talking", well, while I can't say that I'm overly fond of SWiSH, Fontman's definitely entitled to his opinion. Me, I still prefer Macromedia's little app. But that's my opinion. Let's not let things turn into a flame war over opinions. I know it hasn't gotten to that stage, yet (and I'm very glad it hasn't), but let's make sure it stays that way.

Fontman, thanks for the info on SWiSH - keep posting anytime you hear anything new! Stinger, you've been around since the i/us days, and you've been one of our most helpful members - don't sweat it if someone starts pumping up another app here. It's all good - as long as it's dealing with SWFs.

Now let's all play nice, shall we?

I guess I did over-react a bit. Sorry Fontman. It was late, I was tired, and I had a few drinks so my judgement wasn't exactly too trustworthy on the night I posted the reply. I took Fontmans posting the wrong way and didn't stop to think about the fact that Swish is just as much of a Flash tool as Flash itself is. The end format is still the same thing (point made by Deep).

My apologies to anyone who visits this topic

Thanks for slapping me back into reality Deep
