Finally put XP on my system. Fresh install of X1.
A "Microsoft Visual C++" dialog box pops up with the message:Runtime Error
    Abnormal Program Termination
    Then the path to xarax.exe

Nothing shows up in event viewer.

    System Spec:
    XP home SP1
P4 on an Intel 845 MB
    512 megs RAM
    80 gig HD etc.
Nothing fancy, a plain vanilla build.

Tried uninstall/reinstall. Used the patch, tried a fix from MS. Same story. I can usually figure things out but this one is beyond my knowledge base.
I am downloading SP2 but don't know if I want to install it yet untill more feedback.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Grant did you do a fresh install of xp or a upgrade? also get your self a good reg cleaner and clean the reg out of any refrence to xara. then defrag your hdd. shut down the puter for about a minute or 2 then fresh boot then install xara from the cd then do the update to xara. also go ahead and do the sp1 and sp2 for xp before you install xara.
