    Hi Mikey,

Maybe about 30-50 feet. I was sitting in the car, rolled the window down and started taking shots... I got about 5-6 shots before she bounded off into the trees.

Here is one I got today... Mudder and Bambi...

Great shots John. We don't see anything like that here in the desert. Maybe some snakes and Lizards...

    http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Yep, those are great!

Here's a few more -- old photos though, not great, had to be scanned, but some fun memories anyway...

Marshmallow bandits -- in Port Angeles, WA, I had many raccoons visiting day and night for treats, they even brought their babies around...they were huge raccoons. This is a night shot of Rocky who loved washing marshmallows -- and eating them! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Bert the iguana, which road in the back seat of my car on my cross country drive from NY to WA...he loved the summer heat!

some great pics Maya. Racoons are vicous little critters. in florida they get to be 40+ lbs. and nasty and usually rabid. havent seen many here in NJ since i been back a few though.

Iguanas are cool pets 'cept when the tails fall off http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

dirty front window from driving back roads all day. Proofing a map I am doing. Gotta make sure those roads are really there. I do the paved, gavel and dirt, but wing it on the Jeep trails.

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Hey, Mike! Yeah, don't I know it too about those raccoons -- at one point I had 3 baby raccoons and 2 grown females, and a couple male raccoons visiting...after the young ones got older they took to chasing each other 'round and 'round the back yard terrorizing each other and squealing all the way! One day the babies got into a fight at the door after I put out their treats and I stuck my bare foot right into the middle of them to break the fight up -- WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS I THINKING!!! Yep -- you guessed it, one of them bit me on the foot. It wasn't much more than a scratch, they really just wanted me to get out of the way so they could feud, but that's enough for fear of rabies! Anyway, I learned my lesson about keeping a safe distance! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif That was years ago and I've never started foaming at the mouth...hahahaha! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
