Hi. I'm a cartographer who has been experimenting with Flash mapping. I also have a web site that I maintain as a hobby. I am currently working to renovate a dinosaur site I have created and have decided to highly intergrate Flash.

I have created a map for this site that I am looking for opinions/suggestions on. It is 1.36 MB (large, I know, but a ton of content) and has a load screen. I won't say anything else about it except to make sure to click the "End of the Dinosaurs" button when you get to the KT Boundary.

Here is the site pre-renovation. There will be NONE of the Jurassic Park motif next time around.

I don't see anything wrong with your work. Except for the gate image on the dinosaur site. It just seemed like it should do more than just go to a dinosaur picture. It looks as if the doors are going to swing open or something. But then it's only the standard link to another page.

Hey, I might be missing the point though. I'm no paelentologist by any means.

I hope you don't take my remarks too critically. I only mean to be constructive.

    Thanks,

    Scott

I use DSl for my connection speed, so I don't know how this would work for a dial-up connection. But, that is a pretty large file you have there so I would suggest trimming it as much as you can for slower speeds.

    Just a suggestion.
