OK you design guru's, lets do something a bit different...how about pass the site design around...like a design ring of sorts...The idea in mind here is that we design a site revolving around everybodies hobbies here at Talk...

Could be graphics, sewing, woodworking, cooking, gardening...etc., and... slowly but surely design a set of sites, I say set, because those who are keen in participating can use any and all elements/ materials for thier version of this site...hosting such themselves, and or submit worx for others to put into thier site...each individuals site is to have a different skin and layout, while the contents are to each be the same, and or as close as possible...This way the end viewers can choose the look and feel (skin) they wish to view from, and enjoy the many worx contributed by each and all participants, while the site hosts and authors can get a great glimpse as to the many different variations that can be created from the same elements...

Each site must contain a site map which will contain links to each individual site participating, as well, info regarding individual elements created by other participants...in otherwords, those of you who choose not to host site versions, are also encouraged to contribute content for these sites...also, the content created for the sites when posted up on the sites, must have tool tips indicating the creator in the case of graphics, text articles of course will have the authors name along with...

    So, let's get started...

Needed to start would be the site's name and logo...and a few submissions...and each take it from there...

Post your ideas for the name along with logo examples here, or in the gallery, and after there are at least five submitted, then we will do a poll, having everyone here at talk voting for the one most liked...and just like survivor, when someone is voted off, no aurguments...just accept the winning element and move on to the next stage...working with it...

U-Build It... is my submmision for a name ( works with the hobby theme as well as the sites and contents )and I will be attempting a logo right away....anyone else can get involved with designing a logo for this name as well...or come up with a different one of course...once the submmisions are in and the vote is done, the rest is shear fun...contributing worx and watching the sites and variations grow...

We will each and all stand to learn much from this type of an experiment, and hopefully have a blast doing so...so how about it?

My own submission somewhat pales in comparision to the one Chris submitted, though in my humble defense it was created along with a styled theme...

I really don't get the concept of what you're trying to do but here's my stab at a logo.

PS-Randy, interesting how you came up with almost the exact same concept as gidgit.
