There are two ways to get accentuated characters. One is to use your favourite word processor and to copy and paste into your xara page as unformatted text.
The other is to use the Windows character map, accesssible from start/programs/accessories/system tools.
If these don't work I would guess the problem lies with your keyboard configuration.
Maybe you've tried all this already,

For instance typing my first name: R e n Crtl-' e
BTW: in NT 4.0 it will be enough to type: Ren'e tot get René if you installed your keyboard as US-international.
In Win9x you need to use de Crtl-key.
It's not that simple. This is an old bug that occurs with some international keyboards like Brazilian and Portuguese.

We are aware of this problem on Win95/98 systems and will fix it.

Thanks Rubem for that explanation.
Mark, Personally I should also like to see import/export text as RTF, and some sort of word wrap aginst or inside objects in the next version.

Mark -- thanks for answering. We international users look forward to this solution.
Can you tell us *when* it will be corrected?
