Did you try my tutorial with a very high definition image ? I have sometimes access violation exceptions, but not in this area. Perhaps could you send the file which causes problem to Mark Goodall at Xara :

Yes - it was 300dpi. I will try again with a lower resolution file.

I don't know if that could change something. In Utilities/Options/Tune-ups, I have set Redraw on Automatic and Undo size on Unlimited.

I have 512 Mo of Ram and a GeForce 2 MX graphic card with 32 Mo of Ram.

Converting an high definition bitmap to editable shapes before working with it.

Sometimes converting to shapes avoid some confusion for the program (see the recent post of Raffon with a rose on the main forum).

My own set up is similar - unlimited undo, auto redraw 1Gb Ram and Rage 128 Graphics card with 32Mb and masses of disk space.
