Linking indicators on paragraph text

Suddenly I have lost all the blue lines that indicate linked frames of paragraph text. I was working in 10 and after seeing Gary's gripe about a change in key responses decided it might be a 10 backward feature. I opened the document in 9 and had the same problem. The line are not showing. Any one got an idea of what is going on? I tried resetting to the default and that didn't help.

I know, I know, you guys are saying she's at it again. Weirdness. Sigh.
