I was just trying to figure out how to do some good lens flares when I saw the posting at xara.com in the gallery. Take a look at...

    Simone Pampado - The SkyBlast

    Xara Gallery "The Skyblast"

Not sure how he did all of it, wonder if he used much bitmaps...pretty cool though...

    Robert,

This fella Simone has contributed some of the most wicked clipart on the Xara X CD. The guy's obviously a master ... love to hear from him on this board... or maybe pop into the Xone and do a "Guest Tute?" ... nudge, nudge ...

Take care ... oh yeah, here's my lame impression of a "Simone"

You "did" want to know how it might be done in a vector application. In Xara (at least), it's a breeze. Here's one simple method ...

As a 'Simon', I would expect 'Simone' to be a she!

This isn't a terribly great flare but the blend thingy got kind of fun.

Hmmm, and I'm bilingual too (french and english). Fruedian slip on my part, thinking a male was responsible for the artwork. Shame on me, I don't consider myself or my attitudes to be chauvinistic either. Sorry Simone

If It looks like I'm posting alot lately, and if the posts sort of take on a spastic air to them, please excuse me, I'm trying to stop a 25 year old habit of smoking. This is my 4th week of cold turkey. I used to smoke 2 packs a day and the computer and cigarette became synonomuos. This is a symptom of my task. I'll try to excersise for self control ...

    All the best ... Wayne

When I was into photography, when lens flare happened there would be reflections on the elements of the lens. Thought I'd try to get the effect with Xara X.

Can't leave the disc alone. But at least now it's in outer space.

You might not have heard of a wee place called Bonnybridge, but they've got a reputation for seeing things like that there!
