    Hi,
    Here's the situation:
    I have 3 movie clips on the main movie time line, all on separate layers, all on frome one. Now I want the first two movie clips to play, and once they play (and stop), I'd like for the third movie clip to appear.
    All three movie clips are animated (not just static); I don't know if that helps.
    Now how can I force the third movie clips to stay "hidden" until the other two movie clips play?
    So far, the flash movie has three words, each word being a movie clips. I would like them to play in sequence (for example, the first two words are "An" and "I-resume" and the third is "From", all movie clips). However, I only want the "From" to play once the "I-resume" mc plays in its entirety.
    Please help.

    I think I have a solution. If you have two movie clips One and Two. Each residing on frame# one, each on it's own layer. Add a Stop action on frame# one.

    Go into movie clip One that you want to appear first, and at the last frame add this script:

    _parent.two.gotoAndPlay(2);
    stop ();

    Ok, frame one of movie clip Two should be blank and have a Stop action.

    Now on the main stage pick movie clip two (you are not going to see anything because frame one is blank, instead you are going to see a small cross) click on that cross, and in the Instance tab, give this intense of the movie-clip the name: two (what ever name you give the instance, it should be the same the is in the script: _parent.two.gotoAndPlay(2)

    And you are ready to go.
    I hope this work for you.
