I don't know why I should be fascinated with creating seamless tiles - perhaps it is because the results are always unexpected. Method 1 cuts tile in four and swaps the pieces to ensure seamlessness. Hide any slight flaw by adding more objects

The last one is very Escher-esque. I think you have it upon his technique.

Try PhotoSEAM from www.mediachance.com. It's a VERY good $35 painting program which automatically makes seamlessly tiled images. Eschers galore!

thanks for your encouragement, here and elsewhere. I have to own up - the idea for this one came from Adobe Magazine...

Hi Klaus,
mediachance seems very popular all of a sudden. Maybe I'll give it a 'chance', on the other hand I do enjoy using Xara...
