Hey, thought I'd post a different one from Johns considering it's a different subject. I love all the posts so far, they are all very well thought out and executed. Sorry for not providing one when I posted the idea, but wanted to get it out there and didn't have the time for one myself! So here's mine, keep em coming!

I am new to this forum as well as computers and graphics. I have throughly enjoyed looking at all of the wonderful pictures and graphics I have seen here. There are many very talented artists posting their work here. Thank you. I will continue to learn more and more from your sharing. Anyway, here is my first graphics picture I thought was worth posting.

There are a lot of amazing people here, Welcome to the forums, they've helped me beyond any other resource.
Nice integration w/ X3D (I think!), however, I think the yellow and white don't fit together all that well. Maybe change that to the red of the 3D "X", the colors would be more flowing then and less tacky. Plus, from my memory, I don't remember ever seeing a software box completely red, it would be smart advertising! Nice job

Steve, very nice work. Looks very modern and hi-tech.

Mike, welcome to the forum. I like your design. The X in the center is very interesting, would you tell us how you created it?

Steve: thank you for your comments. I changed the yellow to red and as you said, it does look more flowing. I have a lot to learn but hey that's what I am here for.

Soquili: I am affraid at this point in learning how to use Xara I do a lot of "what ifs" and did not lay out any markers as I went down the trail, bad mistake. Therefore you might say I am lost in the woods. I will post the .xar file so you can take it apart yourself. The only thing that will not show up is the fact I put a shape,no color behind the X, grouped the X & circle, then used the elipse mold tool to shape the X, ungroup and delete the circle. I hope this helps. I will be more diligent in keeping track of procedures in the future.

Good to have you here.

Steve - That is way out there in rarified space. Great design and very sophisticated too.

Is that Lunatix you have used for the X?

Weldorman, glad it helped. Could you update the pic so we could see what it looks like?

Gary, actually it's a font called "Mycalc", it's an all capital font that is kinda neat. It's similar to 'Westminster'.
Could you post a pic of the 'lunatix', I might like to have!

join in the fun! Mine's a recyled version of a illustration I did about a year ago. The type of image is lousy as a jpg but I thought I'd try anyways.
