yea i can see why. but for me a digital slr is going way overboard. hell i am having a hard enough time trying to figure this camera out! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/eek.gif if it was a digital slr i probably would have broken it by now. plus if i actually sat down and had the patience to read the manual it would probably help. but i dont have the patience for that either. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

hi Mikey,

You need to "bracket" your shots with the moon. Take a shot, adjust the aperture/exposure then take another one. See how each setting effects your shot. taht way you can find the clearest, best exposed shot...

Not bad shots... Little too bright on the second one. Looks a little fuzzy too. Was that the camera or something move?

I think it's just more a result of using digital zoom (22x). I should have tried some different exposures, but two things happened... I was lying on my back on the roof bacause the moon was directly overhead and it was rather cool out... second, mikeS called (he's related...groan). The smaller, clearer shot was saved as a raw file and brought into photoshop for "enhancement".

Pretty good shots concidering you where laying in the cold. Grab yourself a cheepy tripod. It is worth the money.

Actually I have a pretty good tripod.. had it for about 35 years and it still works perfectly.. just didn't feel like dragging it out on the roof. (lazy).
