Hello,
A guy I work with (BOB) loves Corel but I think that it is a buggy program with lots of bad tools.
Flash MX seams to work better.
What do you think?

Dear cnabholz,
you are talking about two differents products.
First: Macromedia Flash MX 6,
is specially a 2D animation software for the web.
Their tool for drawing are basic.
On the other hand,
CorelDraw is a powerfull software
principally for complex drawings,
graphic designs and pages layout,
specially for print.
The question is what do you want to do?
I've been using Corel since v2. It's a powerful tool for graphics, print, design and layout. Though I must say that the even versions (2,4,6,8,10) do have bugs while odd (1,3,5,7,9)versions are ok if not perfect. Maybe you got your hands on even versions.
I'm not saying Corel is the best. But it all depends on what one is comfortable with and what you need to do. I use Corel extensively with other apps. For example - Corel and Photoshop or even Autocad with Corel - the layout plan of this was done in Autocad. After choosing an angle, I exported it to Corel and created the perspective.
100% CorelDraw9. Finishing touch-up in Photoshop and final landscape manually with watercolour and gouache.
