saving to a index.html

Hi im missing something here im sure on how to save... I will explain... for example if i make two folders.. calling one help and the other site.. and i then go to webstyles and create to separate web pages and name them both index.html then save then inside the folder i made.. not both in the same folder, but a index.html in the help folder, then later a index.html in the site folder... if i then later go back to webstyles to later maybe edit the color are buttons, etc.. when i open and get one that i saved.. the other parts of the index.html file shows up also... ? know what i mean? like the buttons for one index.html file will be in the other index.html file, are something else... what am i doing wrong that would cause buttons ..etc to show up in a different file that i saved in a different folder. hope that makes since.... thanks.. witness7
