Anybody know where I might be able to download some sort of documentation for version 4.2? I tried the version 8 demo but it's just too much for my old laptop. A friend gave me a copy of 4.2 that he used to use... it runs great but he can't locate the manual. I can't find anything for 4.2 on Ulead's web site.

    Thanks!

I don't think those documents are available anymore. My book, "Fun With PhotoImpact 4.2" is still available here

Write down the manual for any version of PI. Load backgrounds etc. as much as possible than burn it all to CD-RW (as I do)...

Thanks for the replies. I was able to locate the .pdf manual for version 7... surprisingly, much of it seems to be applicable to 4.2. So I think it'll make a good enough reference once I get it printed out.

I don't know why exactly... but I've always found it difficult to learn a new piece of software by using just the help files.
