How can I make it possible to download files from my site?

Do I need some javascript or what. I "viewed" a few sites with this capability and didn't see a thing.

Just stick them in a suitable directory and provide links to them — eg <a href="http://www.mysite.etc/mydirectory/myfile.mp3">My file</a>. Anything the browser can't display automatically will call up the download dialogue box. It's that simple. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]
